Carve a knife handle that fits your hand perfectly, and take home a knife that is ideally suited to you. Craftsman Peter Yencken will guide students through shaping and finishing a wooden handle and attaching it to a blade (blades provided, or bring your own). Students will also have the opportunity to sew a leather sheath for their knife.

This class is taught as part of a "village class,” meaning that Bow Making/Archery, Felted Boots, Backpack Basket Making, Leather Shoemaking, Knife Handle Carving, Arrow Making, and Leather Backpack Making are being taught simultaneously in the same space. This allows participants to be exposed to several arts while focusing on one specific skill.

Tuition:
$120+$30 material fee

Ages:
6+ (minors must be accompanied by a registered adult)
