Is your child ready to refine their wilderness living skills? Send them on a weekly dive into the woods with CedarRoot Folk School. Focus skills will include Wilderness Survival (fire making, shelter building, water harvest, orientation, core wild edibles and medicinals), Natural Living (cooking, wildcrafting, advanced wild edibles and medicinals), Naturalist Skills (wildlife tracking, bird language, natural history, ecosystems) and the Way of the Scout (stealth, movement, senses, humble protector). Students will have the opportunity to explore and learn across all areas of focus throughout the year. To allow for optimal depth of focus and growth, participants will be encouraged to hone in on a few areas of greatest interest as the year progresses. All of our talented CedarRoot staff are trained in Wilderness First Aid and advanced nature mentoring. Partial scholarships are available, apply here.
