NOTE: This summer’s Knife Handle Carving will be part of the Village Family Camp. To read more & register for that, click here. If you can’t attend the Family Camp but are interested in taking this class in the future, please email us: info@cedarrootschool.org.

Carve a knife handle that fits your hand perfectly, and come with a knife that is ideally suited to your purposes. Craftsman Peter Yencken will guide students through shaping and finishing a wooden handle, and attaching it to a blade-- blades provided, or bring your own. Then students will be able to sew a leather sheath for their knife. This is a "village style" class. Many activities (felting, bowmaking, leatherworking, and arrow making) are being taught simultaneously. This allows participants to be exposed to several arts while focusing on one specific skill.

Aug 31st : Marrowstone Island, Nordland, Wa. :: 9am- 5pm :: Ages 10 - Adult (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult) :: Instructors Peter Yencken and Maude Richards
